Nutrisystem- Do you Weigh yourself?

Busy Week!
What else is new?
But, a lot of people have told me I look thinner this week.
That always feels good.
I have been eating my Nutrisystem food.
Peanut butter bar in the morning.
Love the chicken tacos for lunch.
And the strawberry shakes are awesome.
I have been avoiding the scale.
Do you weigh yourself often?
How many times a week?  A month?
I am really interested.
Does it inspire you or make you sad?
I am not interested in the numbers anymore.
I want more energy, comfortable clothes.
I want to feel the difference, see the difference, not read a number.
But, alas, I will weigh in next week.
I still need to be held accountable.
How is your weight loss journey going?

Today Is Monday! {Linky}

The KIDS are done with school!
And I couldn't be more excited.
As I type everyone seems to be sleeping in because it is pouring out over on Long Island!
We have VBS at church this week at night!

So off we go this morning in the rain to decorate my classroom.
I am teaching the pre-schoolers which means I have the little guy.

Speaking of which...

He had his moving up ceremony from his rainbows class at church.
He sang the B-I-B-L-E with the kids in his class.
So cute.
He has another year next year before he can become a Royal Ranger like his big brother!

It was my first year teaching the 3rd grade girls in Stars 1.
I wanted to give the girls something as we (a wonderful woman teaches with me) handed them their certificates.
I called the florists and they wanted $3 and change for one carnation with baby's breath.
With 10 girls that would of gotten pricey.
So, I went to Sams and bought 10 white carnations for about $5 and some baby's breath for about $4 and some greenery for about $2. I bought a spool of ribbon for $1 from Michaels and I had cellopane at home.
I made a tag with my cricut and a stars emblem on the computer.
I wrapped up the flowers and they only cost me about $1.20 a piece!    Not too shabby.

This is a pic of the middles waiting for the bus on the last day of school armed with presents for the teachers.
They had wonderful teachers and I was unsure what to get them.
They deserve so much and wanted to give them giftcards, but it really starts to add up.
I went with beautiful journals I found at Marshalls and my son wrote to his teachers on the first page. We made some flower duct tape pens to go along with them. Really cute.

And the little guy dressing up in one of those snowman kits he found in the linen closet.
We might have to spend a lot of time teaching him not to trash mom's house this summer.
I am making plans to stay somewhat on track this summer.
We already signed up for the summer reading program at the library.

What about you?
What are your plans for the week?

The Bun Maker {a tutorial}

So, my girlfriend, Sherry, came over the other morning to drop off a kimono for my younger daughter to wear to school, but that is another story....
Sherry had the nicest bun in her hair!

I asked her how she did it and she told me with this contraption in her hair!
She had bought the Hair Bun maker from the local drugstore for about $6.
I went to Sally beauty supply and bought just the bun thing for about $3 and change, but had to buy some clips to secure it for about $3 also.
Her kit had the bun maker and the clips (different clips) together.

Here's how ya do it.....   Put your hair in a nice pony tail (as opposed to a mean one, I guess :)

Place the bun maker over the ponytail holder.

Put your finger in the middle of the ponytail and spread out hair all around the bun maker.

Then, start to wrap all the hair around the bun maker and tuck underneath.

Now secure with pins.

Keep securing with pins- I needed quite a few to keep all the long hair in.

TA DA!  Keep moving the hair around to cover the bun maker.

I like the bun at the bottom of my neck- I did this with wet hair for work, because I was running late and I really liked it.

And this little cutie didn't mind showing it off ballerina style on the top of her head.  She said it could be casual....

Or a little dressy. ♥♥♥♥

If you have any questions, let me know.
There are also a ton of you tube videos on this topic.

Still Learning- A Nutrisystem Post

So, last week I was doing great.  Eating less.
Eating Nutrisystem with just a couple extra proteins, fruits and veggies.
I felt great....
Waking up was easy- not feeling heavy or bloated.
Getting things accomplished.
Doing what I had to do.
I had the energy and I even lost a pound.
My pants felt looser even straight from the dryer!

And then the weekend....
We ate at the diner one night and the next day we had a BBQ.
I hate too much and not the right foods.

And even if that is where it ended, fine.
But, the mornings were horrendous.
I felt lousy.
I felt bloated and forget being fat.
I felt fat.

And as much as that stunk, I am happy it happened.
Just once again, I learned a lesson of what I need to be doing.
And it could not fall on a better week!
My new Nutrisystem order comes tomorrow!

Until next time.....

Today is Monday! {linky}

Well, good morning!
A little late this morning.
A little lazy.

Hope you had a great father's day!
We did.
It was the husband's birthday a couple of days ago, so we celebrated that too.

Totally still cleaning up from our BBQ yesterday.

Used the bun maker to make a cute bun. Stay tuned for the tutorial this week!

The eldest and I cleaned the whole house Saturday night- and I can even see part of my desk now!
Apparently, it is wood!

Last days of school winding down. So excited!
How was your week, what do you have going on this week?

Catch-Up Friday

We have been a little busy round these parts.
The end of school brings a lot of different days.
Days that cost money in envelopes, days that require special clothing and days that Mom gets to be at the school for field day.
 My house looks like "who-did-it-and-ran?".
But, one day when the kids are grown, I will have plenty of time to clean.
Happy Friday!

Today is Monday {linky}

How was your week?
What do you have planned for this week?

My eldest made it into National Junior Honor Society!
WooHoo! I made this chocolate chip cookie "cake".
Don't mind my spelling- did it fast and might of crossed an "L" instead of a "T".  It's the thought that counts!
The kids were pretty happy with it!

And someone got signed up for pre-school.
Our first kid ever to go to preschool!
I think he was excited about it.
And he got to try a new recipe! Ants on a log!

This week we have 2 field days, some finals and just that much closer to the end of school!
 Now to the fun part!
Link up your blog post for today.
It can be any blog post, or tell us what you are up to this week.

Nutrisystem...... "Starts Today"

Well, it starts today!
That is what I keep telling myself over this past weekend.

I always find myself snacking with promises of - tomorrow- I will start- tomorrow I will be serious about weightloss...
tomorrow I will hit the treadmill.

And then I find myself snacking....
On leftover sour cream and chips,
leftover white chocolate from those cookies I made last week.

ENOUGH!
So, this weekend,
i threw out the sour cream leftover, the leftover white chocolate....
and I will continue to do so.
It starts today!

I didn't have the pizza we bought-
easy enough- I had Nutrisystem pepperoni pizza that is so good.

I didn't have a bite of the husband's taco bell.
I wanted to --
and maybe in the future I will be able to.
ya know, have a bite...
but right now a bite leads to ten.

I have to do what I have to do to drop some of this weight.
Nutrisystem makes it easy.
the food is laid out before me.

Pray that I stick with it-
at least this week.
Then maybe
just maybe
the week after will be a little easier.

More Money On Ebay

I have been trying to sell as much as possible on ebay before the kids are off for summer vacation. Who knows what I will be able to accomplish then? These are some of my big sales from last week.
A Brighton pocketbook I bought for $5 and sold for $76!

Dansko shoes I bought for $2 and sold for $46.50!
How about you?
Sell anything on ebay lately?
