Another pound baby!
Maybe it would of been better had I not had "snack" on Sunday night.
I told you Monday morning weigh-ins are hard!
I finally logged in to the Nutrisystem site and love all their tips.
Everything you need is right at your fingertips.
My bmi is automatically calculated every time I update my weight.
This is good, but scary at the same time.
If I don't take control of my weight now, I can be in some serious trouble as I get older.
And another thing?
It just gets harder to drop weight as we get older.
As much as I consider myself young, the husband is here to remind me that we aren't.
I was sent some tips from Nutrisystem to combat the holiday binging this week.
My favorite 2?
1. Quality not Quantity. If you do plan to indulge in some of the traditional Thanksgiving favorites, use these portions as a guideline:
Turkey—3 oz. white meat, no skin (about the size of a deck of cards)
Mashed potatoes—1/3 cup (about the size of half of a baseball)
Gravy—1 Tbsp. (just drizzle it)
Relish made with sugar—1 Tbsp.
Dinner Roll—if not homemade, skip it
Pie—1/12 of a 9” pie
2. Stay on track. Holidays are not the time to skip meals in an attempt to “bank” calories. That’s a strategy that can backfire miserably. Instead, eat everything on your meal plan leading up to the holiday event, and make sure you’re drinking all your water. You’ll be less likely to overindulge at the big event.
Though, I am not sure about the dinner roll thing! My mother-in-law is making those Grands biscuits and they are my favorite!
Check back on Monday to see how I do.
