Party Time

First, some things you need to know about adolescent girls:
-they eat a lot!
-they have lots of energy!
-Never ever give them large quantities of punch!

We had 11 girls over for my daughter's birthday last weekend, making the grand total 13 girls! They came over starting at 4.

I decorated the kitchen to which my daughter asked if I did it for her or for my blog?
She's a shrewd one.

The infamous punch that is so tasty, but apparently very sugary.

Tacos with all the fixings for dinner- the birthday girl's request.

And her favorite dip and chips- this didn't last long at all.

My daughter always wants to do a craft.

Since colored duct tape is all the rage right now.

She made duct tape pens just in time for school.

She had a blast opening gifts and laughing with her friends. Aeropostale tee shirts were a hot item this year.

And of course, there was singing.

And cupcakes, and pink chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.

And later, marshmallows for toasting with 3 different types of marshmallows- the regular size, jumbo size and the coolest new "stackers", the flat, square marshmallow that I had to go to 3 different stores to find! And then regular graham crackers with a bag of hershey miniatures- your choice of Krackel, Hershey, Hershey Dark or Mr. Goodbar.

And I would show you a picture of the girls around the fire roasting them, but they did it so fast and jumped up for a game of manhunt.

They all left with these cute goodie bags my daughter made, around 10.

We were exhausted- but in a good way!
