National Night Out

We went to our town's National Night Out this past week.
The flyer they gave out at church said this,
"National Night Out is a nation-wide event whose mission is to promote community spirit, foster a partnership between the police and community and send a strong anti-crime message through grass-root efforts."
They had tables set out with free giveaways- like frisbees and candy and firefighter hats.
Our church had a table where they gave out tote bags, literature on our church and little water bottles with the church address on it.
Different tables gave out hot dogs and chips. There was ice pops.
All for free.

They had a giant blow-up slide for the kids.

And face painting.

The kids had a blast.

It was nice to be able to do something free with the kids that was local.

And to see people from our community, like fireman, EMS workers and local politicians.

But, I think they might of liked the bounce house the best.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you - I was in the paper!
It was a tiny blurb on me and what I tweet about. But, hey, I was in the paper!
Needless to say, I bought 5 copies.
You can follow me on twitter here.

Have a great Saturday!
I gotta go make pancakes.
We have 4 more kids coming over today.
Fun Times- we are blessed.
