Daybook Entry, July 5th, 2011

Outside My Window:
Beautiful, sunny day. Was going to hit the beach, but too tired from yesterday and too much to do here. How is it that we didn't entertain and my house looks worse than the parties we visited?

I am thinking:
What projects do I tackle today?
The kids' rooms?
The basement?
The possibilities are endless.
No really. They are.

I am thankful for:
My home and everyone in it. (I know it's corny, but so true)

From the Kitchen:
No idea. Out of eggs from making a lot of eggs yesterday and from making butter cookies for the 4th. Do we pick up more eggs for this morning's breakfast or wing it with cereal? I am going with the latter.

I am wearing:
My softball tee shirt and some old sweat shorts I cut as pajamas.

I am creating:
a bigger mess every time I pack and go for the day without fixing this place up.

I am going:
to the store today. I think we are about out of everything. I mean, who doesn't have paper towels?

I am wondering:
if something were to happen to me, how would my mom explain this huge mess in my room and I better clean it up today.

I am reading:
Crazy Love by Francis Chan
Though it is taking me forever to finish it, it is a great book.

I am hoping:
to have a productive day with the kids today.

I am looking forward to:
Buying school supplies at Walmart and the kids having a "cuz buzz" at my mom's house.

I am hearing:
the whir of the air conditioner that can really be turned off now, but it feels so good.

Around the house:
the boys are up but the girls are smart and sleeping in.

I am pondering:
what to do first?

One of my favorite things:
Matching pajamas for everyone that we can find in our drawers, though this rarely happens.

A picture to share:
Sunblock, anyone?

I linked up to the Simple Woman's Daybook.
Enjoy your Tuesday! What do you have planned for week?

  1. It's summer it is ok if things are a little messy. Enjoy your babies while they are at home with you. My two older ones have jobs and are not home much. I miss them. I read Crazy Love also, took me forever, there is just so much to take in but I did learn a lot from it.

    Summer Blessings.

  2. So nice to see your daybook. I still have the A/C on too! After yesterday today feels cooler, it was so humid. I feel the same way about my house today and we went out yesterday as well :)
